These images are a few in a series that represents a skill dive Into Adobe Illustrator. The goal of this project was to create a series of animal illustrations entirely in vector and with a geometric approach.

The challenge was to find the balance between geometric and minimalist representation while still clearly conveying the specific species of each animal. This helped me hone my skills in Adobe Illustrator and vector illustration and increased my work speed within the program.

I heavily researched the illustrative styles of both Owen Davey and Charley Harper. This particular art style was new to me and took significant amounts of practice to tap into. Both of those creators’ work became invaluable to my discovery within that style.
